Please note that adopters with approved applications and scheduled appointments may receive priority in adopting our animals. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to helping you find your new furry friend!
Our staff is available by phone Monday through Friday from 10 am until 4 pm. During these hours, the shelter is also open to the public for various services, including donation drop-offs, and cremations.
On weekends, our staff is focused on caring for the animals at the shelter and will not be available to answer phone calls. Please note that staff will be available on Saturdays when the shelter is open to the public.

Before you adopt
Proper pet care is a commitment for the life of that animal. A pet will require time, patience, love and financial support for the rest of his life. Here are some other important considerations for pet adoptions:
- If you have other pets, they must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations.
- If you have a pet or pets that you have adopted from us, they must be up to date on all vaccinations.
- If you live with other people, discuss your desire to adopt a pet with them before taking an animal home. This will help ensure a good match.
- If you rent, be sure your lease allows pets of the size and breed you are considering. Check for additional rent and deposits that may be needed.
- If you have other pets at home, be prepared to take extra time and patience when introducing the new companion. We recommend that you keep the new animal isolated from the others until you have had your new pet examined by your vet. Once the introduction is complete, make sure to give all pets lots of exercise, attention and love.
