Happy Tails – Haggis

June 24, 2020 by ARSPCAadmin

I hope this message finds you healthy and well. I wanted to send along a “happy tail” on behalf of our sweet pup that we adopted from Augusta Regional SPCA in January 2020. During her time with y’all, she was known as Siri. We brought her home and christened her Haggis (nicknamed “Aggie”), in honor of our Scottish honeymoon many years ago. My husband Brad and I wanted to tell you how grateful we are for bringing this sweet girl into our lives.

Haggis was definitely timid when we first brought her home but she is now perfectly comfortable and loves being chums with me, my husband Brad, and our cat Arthur. Haggis lives to sniff everything in the neighborhood on our walks! On our adventures, she practically bounces. She trots along like a palomino pony on our strolls, so we call our daily walks “prances,” which is so much more accurate. She loooooves snuggles and crunchy treats and never ever gets enough of cuddles and belly rubs. When she’s not snoozing on our couch, you can find Haggis playing with the snuffle mat Mama made her and giving her kitty brother Arthur kisses… and Arthur (a former stray) is being a pretty good sport about it too. In short, we adore Little Miss Aggie and are so grateful she’s a part of our lives. We just adore our little lass… and her giant ears!

In the first picture, you’ll see Haggis and her kitty brother, Arthur, hanging out in our bed. Arthur was a stray kitten that wandered into our yard three years ago and decided to keep us! They are getting to be pals and enjoy following each other (and Mama!) around the house. In the second photo, she’s posing on the Wonder Woman quilt I made for her.

All thanks for the wonderful work you do.

Happy Tails – Swish

June 24, 2020 by ARSPCAadmin

It’s been a little over a year since I adopted Swish (formerly Lady Gray) from the Augusta Regional SPCA, and she is the perfect addition to our little family. She loves to play and cuddle with her big brother, Flick, and she has a great time climbing her cat tree and watching the birds out the window – when she’s not attacking her feather toys or trying to conquer the red dot, that is. She also likes “helping” to make the bed, taking naps, meeting new people, and getting lots and lots of pets and attention. I love this little girl so much and I’m so thankful that the SPCA took her in so that she could find her fur-ever home here with us.

We love the SPCA!

Happy Tails – Sam

June 1, 2020 by ARSPCAadmin

I just wanted to touch base with you. Sam has become so smoothly another member of our family. He is gentle, sweet, very social and chatty. He loves playing and snuggling. He gets along pretty well with Lola, our labradoodle.

Thanks !!!!!

Happy Tails – Lola

April 27, 2020 by ARSPCAadmin

We’ve been wanted to write you all for a while now with an update about Carmella (now Lola), we adopted her on Groundhog Day this year! We absolutely ADORE her and could truly not have asked for a sweeter, more wonderful dog. She has integrated into our family seamlessly and is loved by everyone she meets. Before the pandemic she was going to doggie daycare weekly (she’ll go back once we can take her again), she has a nice big fenced in backyard that she sunbathes in, goes on hikes regularly, and 2 kitty friends that she plays and snuggles with.

Thank you so much for all that you do! She has found her forever home with us and we could not be more thankful.
