What is #GivingTuesday? Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
This year, consider supporting the Augusta Regional SPCA. You can be a part of our continued efforts to place deserving animals with their forever families.
The shelter is open by appointment for owner surrendered pets and for potential adopters to visit the animals available. Even with Covid-19, we have been able to adopt over 450 pets since March. People are opening up their hearts and homes to unwanted pets. The spay/neuter clinic is operating on a regular schedule, and we are so proud of our community for still being responsible during all of this uncertainty. We have been providing curb service for drop off on the morning of surgery and group discharge in the afternoon. Yes, things are very different, but our staff and community are willing to go that extra mile for an adoption or to prevent an unwanted litter.
Join us in giving back – whether you donate to the Augusta Regional SPCA or commit to getting more involved in your community – every act of generosity counts! Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to participate in #GivingTuesday by sharing our posts on social media and inspire a wave of good. Let’s unleash generosity together!
Funds raised through AR SPCA #GivingTuesday will support our work providing every animal exceptional care and a loving home.
