Good evening. My family adopted Juliet (Jewels) three weeks ago today. I just wanted to update you all and thank you again for caring for her and sharing her story on Facebook…which is what got her to us. She is really coming out of her shell! She is so sweet and has A LOT of energy. We are walking about 5 miles a day! She is adapting very well to life with our family and we are having a lot of fun. We still have quite a bit of work to do to help her manage her fear/anxiety of people (other than us…it didn’t take her any time at all to warm up to our family members), crates, and being left alone. But we will be patient with her. She is worth it!
Our vet has guessed her dominant breed is greyhound. We are doing a DNA test (and would be happy to share the results if anyone is interested). She is definitely a unique blend of whatever she is. We are just curious and do not really care about the breed…because regardless, she’s 100% Easterling!
